PREMIUM HANDMADE COLLECTION

Belgian Design by Furnified

Flowing lines, round shapes and characterful statement pieces: Furnified's new premium collection of Mortex tables puts the organic trend on the map.
Gone are the days when furniture had to be rectangular as standard. Sleek, square furniture is counterbalanced by round shapes and organic lines - in line with the 1970s. Softness is therefore one of the biggest interior trends of the moment - and one that will remain relevant for years to come. Inspired by organic materials and natural tones, Furnified launches a series of sculptural dining tables, coffee tables and side tables that immediately give your interior a playful touch. The tables are 100% handmade from a waterproof, maintenance-friendly product that resembles natural stone in terms of hardness. Thanks to the concrete look, the light-colored tables look tough, robust and elegant at the same time.
The distinctly organic interior style from the 1970s has made a comeback. Whether your style is modern, eclectic or minimalist, you will be amazed in a 70's inspired interior!

Dynamic and serene

With this unique, premium collection, Furnified is coloring outside the lines. Think of it as one
artistic experiment that resulted in a series of tables that unite the artistic with the functional. In addition to their organic look, which exudes both dynamism and serenity, the Mortex tables are absolute eye-catchers thanks to the intriguing material.
Mortex is a cement-resin bonded material that matches the cement look. By applying various techniques, these tables have more structure and drawings. The colors are kept light and neutral, in line with the trend colors of 2022. Natural tones such as sand, beige and off-white give you a cozy and relaxed feeling; no wonder they are also known as 'wellness colors'.

Craft process

When it comes to Furnified, a table is so much more than a place to eat. It is the heart of a home, where stories are shared, where people laugh and where new memories are made. This attention to the moment, to the slow and the good in this life, also lies in the creation process of the Mortex series. The tables are carefully handmade in a local workshop in Belgium. Layer after layer, the tables are built up into a unique and durable art object - in total, a Mortex table consists of no less than eight layers. This artisanal and careful manufacturing process, which takes many hours, results in a seamless design and uniqueness. Each piece is one of a kind. The tables thus pay tribute to individuality and character and inspire you to embrace and show your authenticity.

Versatile

Furnified's Mortex tables look impressive, but are very easy to incorporate into your interior. For example, the coffee tables are delivered in one piece: easy does it! The dining tables, on the other hand, consist of two parts that you can easily attach to each other: a leg and a tablet. The parts are also lighter than they might suggest at first glance. And just because of the material they are easy to use; their look is also very versatile and works in many interiors. From rural to minimalist, from eclectic to modern, from Scandinavian to mid-century: the Mortex series adds softness and character to every interior style. The tables are both robust and elegant, simple and outspoken: this richness of contrast looks interesting and intriguing, properties that translate into your interior.

Scratch and wear resistant

Of course, the Mortex table will be the eye-catcher of your interior. You want to keep it beautiful for as long as possible. Good news: due to the special, hard material, the tables are exceptionally strong and durable. In addition, they are tear, scratch and wear resistant - we do not recommend cleaning the table with a scouring pad. The seamless design also ensures a waterproof quality. Accident with a glass, cup or vase falling over? Do not panic; it does not cause unwanted damage or stains to the tabletop. The Mortex tables are very maintenance-friendly: clean your Mortex table with standard cleaning agents and water. Even though the material is heat resistant, it is better not to place boiling hot pans directly on the table top for an extra long life. And remove stains from, for example, spilled food immediately after eating. This way your Mortex table will remain a showpiece of your interior for as long as possible.

70's atmosphere

Combine the Mortex tables into a playful whole - for example, place the three side tables together in a group - or go for one Mortex table as the ultimate statement piece in your home. Do you want to enhance the 1970s atmosphere in your interior? The organic shape of the Mortex tables is a good start. In addition, incorporate soft textures into your interior: wool, cotton and linen for the seating furniture, for example. Wood also plays an important role, as does the use of relatively sober material with a luxurious touch. For example, dare to play with accessories made of marble, brass or glass. A tall, minimalist vase on the Mortex tables – with or without fresh flowers – immediately creates a beautiful picture. Keep the colors light and bright, with the occasional gray, rust brown, orange or green drift. This way you keep balance in your interior.
